I want to start out by saying I'm not a blogger. I have never kept up with a blog before, nor have I ever kept up with reading one. My point is I'm a newbie.
I want to introduce myself a bit and explain what type of person I am. There are three things I think are important for people to know about me before reading my writing...
1. I'm currently eighteen.
2. I was homeschooled.
3. I'm a hopeless romantic.
These three things mainly make up who I am as a person right now.
As an eighteen year old, I'm still lost within my "unrealistic" world of adolescence. What I mean by this is my world is still small, but very large in my mind. My wheels of imagination for love and happiness and peace on earth are still rotating. I'm naive in the best of ways.
As a homeschooler, I'm used to other's expectations and I'm family-oriented. I'm the oldest of seven siblings, and I have nothing but love for them in my heart, as well as love for my four parents. Being homeschooled has taught me how much my family is worth. It has also taught me how often people stereotype. I think I can speak for a lot of homeschoolers when I say we hear a lot of assumptions. I've found people expect me to be antisocial, very religious, uneducated or extremely intelligent, or unable to succeed academically in college, when they know nothing other than I was homeschooled.
As a hopeless romantic, I'm hopelessly romantic. I imagine meeting the love of my life everyday. I haven't decided yet if this trait is good or bad, but it drives my passion for poetry and love stories and relationships. I don't wear my heart on my sleeve, because I've stitched it to the top of my forehead.
Well, that's a little bit about me. If you're a teenager, a homeschooler, or a hopeless romantic, leave a comment below! And if you're not, leave a comment below! And if you have questions for me or you'd like to tell me about yourself, feel free to get in touch with me at email@example.com.
